Draft federal state educational standards of higher education in statistics, developed by RASt, were submitted for consideration to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The RASt took the initiative to develop draft federal state educational standards of higher education in statistics for bachelors, masters and candidates of science which were submitted for consideration to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on July 6, 2015.
The procedure of consideration and approval of the federal state educational standards is set forth in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated August 5, 2013 No. 661 “Rules governing the development, approval and amendment of the federal state educational standards”.
Under this procedure, draft federal state educational standards must be posted on the website http://regulation.gov.ru/ to inform the public and to ensure the consideration of the projects by relevant organisations and concerned citizens. The Ministry of Education and Science will organize an independent examination of the draft standards by organisations, federal executive authorities and executive bodies of the subjects of the Russian Federation, responsible for implementing the education policy.
Given the exceptional importance of these draft standards for the development of statistics in Russia, the RASt Board encourages members to actively participate in the public debate and to support the draft standards.
Information about the progress in consideration of the draft federal state educational standards will be posted on the RASt website in the “Public discussion” section.
